2020 WAS A TOUGH YEAR with having to deal with COVID-19 multi-state shutdowns and conditions where social distancing was mandatory.  Many fanciers are older and great care had to be given to decisions being made. Within our State, many clubs had to cancel scheduled in-person auctions and come up with other means of trying to support futurities, all while being SAFE. The CJC even cancelled the Old Bird Season.

 

Fortunately, we had a 2020 Young Bird Season in the Combine.  For the ACS Futurity, we had over 100 birds allotted to compete but, not many were able to make it to race day.  Please click on the links for more information and SPECIAL THANKS to those who still had entries to participate in the race.  Even the race was symbolic of what we had to deal with in 2020...the weather on race day was tough and birds flew against the wind for most of their return journey home.

Hopefully, 2021 will be a better year for all regarding Covid-19 and we get back to normalcy as much as possible.
